Hi
I am new to the world of blogging, but not to the world of writing. I have finished my first book recently, which is currently sitting with the editors, where after I have a deal to send it to America to be published by a well known figure. But after reading many books on how other people have connected with thousands prior to publishing a book, I have decided to start connecting to the crowds of people out there, to further my study on the ever eluding “Purpose in Life!”
Question: Do you believe you have a Purpose in Life? And to further make things interesting, and if you do want to share such information, are you religious?
To start off then, I do not want to force my opinion on anyone, and I am more interested in what you out might be thinking about a Purpose in Life. To kick-start the discussion then, I would like to start by asking a very straight forward question (and I do hope the results will surprise me).
My answer is – Yes, I strongly believe that I have a Purpose in Life! And I am religious (Once we get to know each other, I will reveal my believes).
I do hope to hear from many out there, of the same opinion, and those opposing the idea. I am looking forward to hear from you!
Kind regards
Cedric
I think you are fake. These words have not been written by yourself. publish your book and post the name here i would be the first to buy it as i am not convinced. You sir are a want to be.
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, but sure is sad for me to get feedback like this.
I would really like to know why you you would say something like this? My work was done on much research, personal experience, and working with many people. My book is at the Editors (well, has bee the case for the last 3 months), after which it will be submitted to USA. So the book is not yet available.
If you do have any evidence of what you say, I do invite you to share with me (and ultimately anyone else who would like to read this).
Kind regards
Cedric
i have extensively read a lot of books and this loosely based upon some i have seen. look it might be your words in the sence of writing, but the principles are the same as the others.
ReplyDeletei do not question your abilities, but bring something new to the table. i would really like to read your entire book. you should see everything in life as a challenge. just as i have challenged you.
thanks for your response
I think you will both agree you have not seen my book, nor what is written in it. Very few have to be honest! What I have is something new. The something new I have brought to the table is the process of finding one's purpose in life. And yes, just like many other books, they reference existing books, I have done exactly the same.
ReplyDeleteWhat I do know, is that it works for many people, just like many other books works for other people. Different strokes for different folks. My book will definitely not be the answer to everyone's questions, and I don't think it was meant to be the new gospel, but it sure will help many. That I am confident of.
To bring it back to your point. It is a new process, using some new, some existing tools.
You are more than welcome to challenge me, which is the reason why I invited people from the word go. And I would also like to challenge you. Which of the points I have mentioned so far in the blog, do you disagree with (referring to Self Awareness).
I do look forward to your response / challenge.
Kind regards
Cedric
again i do not question your ability to write, but to give something in writing is to give a piece of yourself.
ReplyDeletethats why i said bring something new.
i was in fact responding to your first post when i made the comment with the intention to make you understand that the first post was in my opinion generic. if and when your book is released i hope it is not based on the generic principles that everyone is following in the mainstream beliefs that busness and life is the same, and the set rules should apply. situations and actions etc should be adaptable in my opinion. you seem like a good spirited person try to see that giving my opinion could give you a new persective (or not)
look i am not crusifying you i am just tired of seeing the same thing over and over. but remember constuctive critisism is always better than getting flack from someone who do not understand business and its practices.
ReplyDeletebut keep it going.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate your feedback, honestly, I do! Just like you, I am tired of people trying to sell something to others, which doesn't address the issues of today! And I know there are many of those. I read an article the other day, that said ... "if you would like to discover your purpose in life, write down what you would like to do ... until you start crying!" That to me was unsatisfactory, I mean, I can write stuff (what I would like to do with my life) for hours and not cry. I even tested this with other people, and for them this seemed just as ridiculous. But then I read the posts (of this specific article), and it actually did help someone (or so I believe).
Even if we do not approve of everything out there, there are still those people who find value in them. Perhaps my book will be one of your best reads ever, perhaps it will be the worst book you've ever laid your eyes on, that I cannot tell or guarantee you!
But what I would be looking for, is for honest people (like yourself), giving me honest feedback. I am definitely not someone who says yes and Amen to everything. And I don't expect people to do so either.
So therefore, I did not ever say you were crucifying me, and I didn't see it that way. I can understand your frusdtration, believe me, I feel the same.
Please read my blogs going forward, and feel free to share your honest opinions. That is worth more than any "nice" comments. A similar analogy would be the people that participate in American Idols. Some of them honestly believe they have the voice of an Angel. Were the people closest to them not honest?
So I do invite you to share your opinion. And I do believe we can talk around the point, and share each other's views! That is worth gold!
I'm looking forward to your next post. And thanks!
